RESTAURANT
Six extending tables and twenty-four dining chairs for a restaurant terrace, all of it knock-down and flat-packed.

The setting
A terrace has to seat as many covers as the space allows on a busy day and still open up for a long table when a group books. The Classic Rectangular Table A is 180 by 100 cm and pulls apart to take the butterfly leaf stored under its centre, so the same tables serve tables of four on a quiet day and a long table when a group books.
The Stanley Dining Chair has a gently curved top rail and a slatted seat that drains after rain and dries quickly. Every frame is solid plantation teak, kiln dried to 12% and joined mortise-and-tenon with teak pegs; the hardware is stainless steel 304, or 316 for sites by the sea. Left unoiled the teak weathers to silver-grey; oiled once a season it keeps its honey colour.
Tables and chairs both ship knock-down, which keeps the volume of a whole terrace to a small share of one container.
