All timber is plantation-grown Tectona grandis from Javanese concessions, bought log by log and graded on arrival for density, moisture and heartwood ratio. Sapwood is cut away rather than finished over.
BUYING AHEAD
The kiln schedule sets what we can promise
We buy standing volume ahead of demand, so the kiln schedule rather than the spot market decides what we can commit to. That is why lead times hold through the season instead of stretching whenever log prices move.
It also means the answer to "can you take this in three weeks" is a real one. The timber for it is either already drying or it is not.

12% MOISTURE
Kiln drying
Three kilns dry every programme to 12% moisture content. Every batch is logged at kiln exit and the reading travels with the timber through the floor.

Teak that moves in transit is teak that comes back
Drying is the single largest capital item on the site, and it is the reason the factory has a hard monthly ceiling. We could machine more than we dry; we do not, because the failure mode of under-dried teak shows up in a customer’s dining room three months after the invoice is paid.
A European interior in winter sits far drier than a Javanese workshop. Furniture that arrives at 14% will shrink, and a housed slat will open a gap you can see from across the room.

Everything is dried to 12%, the figure the whole floor works to. Tell us the destination climate and we will tell you plainly how the pieces will behave there.
The kiln-exit log for your batch ships with the documents. Ask and we will send it before loading as well.
It goes back to the kiln. Nothing above 12% is machined.

REPLANTED ON ROTATION
Sustainability
Plantation teak is grown for harvest on rotation and replanted by the concession holder as a condition of the licence. No timber in our supply comes from natural forest conversion.
ONE FILE, TWO CLAIMS
Legality and sustainability rest on the same documents
The chain from concession to export is the same chain SVLK audits, so the sustainability claim and the legality claim rest on one verified set of documents rather than on two separate assurances, one of which is usually a brochure.
We would rather show you the audit than talk about stewardship. The paperwork is dull and it is the part that survives a customs check.

We buy from a short list of Javanese concessions we have worked with for years. Consistency of source is what lets a repeat order land tonally identical to one shipped two years earlier.
WHY IT SHOWS
Colour matching is a sourcing problem
Teak from different soils reads differently once it is oiled, and no finishing schedule will hide it. A hotel adding twenty chairs to a terrace three years after the original order is asking a sourcing question, not a finishing one.
Plot-level data for each supplier is held on file and released with the EUDR due-diligence pack, which is also what makes the matching claim checkable rather than a promise.
