Ordering teak furniture from Jepara: lead time, minimum order and shipping

Most buyers who contact us for the first time ask the same four questions: how long it takes, how much they have to order, how it ships and what paperwork comes with it. This is how it works at Arjuna Jati, a teak furniture manufacturer in Bulungan, Jepara, making garden and outdoor furniture since 1997.

Lead time. Every piece is made to order on our own floor, so the clock starts when an order is confirmed. Our lead time is 45 to 75 days from confirmation to a loaded container, depending on the quantity, the mix of models and the finish. Stock pieces are not held; what you receive is made for your order, from timber dried in our own kilns.

Minimum order. There is no minimum order quantity. A container can mix any models from the catalogue, in any quantities, and a first order does not have to fill a container at all: smaller orders can travel as LCL (less than container load) consolidated with other cargo.

Quotations. Every product page shows an indicative price per piece, FOB Semarang, together with the packed volume in cubic metres and how many pieces fit a 20FT, 40FT and 40HQ container. Add the pieces you are considering to a quotation list and send it; we reply with net prices for the whole order, because the mix and the quantity change the price more than any single item does.

Shipping. Goods leave from Tanjung Emas port in Semarang, about two hours from the factory. Prices are quoted FOB Semarang; CIF, CNF and EXW terms are available on request. Most chairs, benches and tables ship knock-down or folded in flat cartons, which keeps the volume per piece low and the count per container high.

Documents. Our timber is SVLK-verified, Indonesia's national timber legality system, and we hold the documentation needed for EU Deforestation Regulation (EUDR) due diligence. Fumigation and heat treatment for export are done by licensed providers when your destination requires them.

Custom work. We also make to buyers' own designs under their brand (OEM and white label). A first prototype takes about two weeks. Dimensions can be changed on our own models too, and there is no tooling charge for a dimensional change on solid timber.
